It looks like my first attempt to send this didn't make it thru the KFCF
email spam filters. Sorry if you got a duplicate or spam notice.

Dear Friends of KFCF,

Thanks for all your support during the recent pledge drive. KPFA
raised almost $1,000,000 and as a result of your generosity KFCF also
did very well. We don't have the final totals yet from KPFA, but we are
looking forward to being able to meet increased rent costs, insurance
costs and utility costs. Thank you.

KFCF EVENTS

Mark your calendars! KFCF will have Democracy Now! Host Amy
Goodman in Fresno on Wednesday, April 14th. We'll have an evening event
in honor of her new book, plus a KFCF "meet and greet" before the
evening event. We should have more details as to costs, location, and
times very soon. Watch your e-mail and keep listening to KFCF for
details.

While you are busy marking your calendars, be sure to include
the annual Intermountain Nursery KFCF Benefit on June 6th. The benefit
will include some great local musicians, food and the beauty of the
Intermountain Nursery just outside Prather. The stage is next to a
lovely creek, surrounded by majestic oaks. It's a fun afternoon, and
we'll be announcing more details soon.

KFCF WANTS YOUR ASSISTANCE

The Fresno Free College Foundation Board of Directors is looking
for help from our members, subscribers and listeners. We have set up a
number of sub-committees of the Board and are looking for people who
want to assist by serving on a committee.
We are looking for people who are willing to attend regular meetings and
assist in gathering information and assisting in carrying out projects.
The committees are:
Elections/membership - to work on membership and annual elections
issues.
Fundraising - to plan, prepare and carry out fundraising events for the
Foundation and KFCF. These include concerts, readings, lectures, the
annual banquet and other events.
Governance - to review Foundation Bylaws and other governance matters.
Volunteers - to develop and administer a group of volunteers for KFCF
events and operations.
Budget - to review and plan the FFCF and KFCF budgets.
Program Needs Assessment - an advisory group that holds forums,
conducts surveys and gathers information regarding KFCF
programming needs. Also this group will assist in evaluating program
proposals and reviews.

If you are interested in helping on any of these committees, please
contact KFCF at office at kfcf.org with your interests and contact
information.
