Dear KFCF Friends,

Here are some changes in the KFCF programming schedule for your information:

*** The first Friday of each month will have two program changes beginning
in August.

3:30 to 4 pm -- "Valley Bioregion" hosted by Vic Bedoian will move up
earlier in the afternoon and become a half-hour program with the same themes
of nature, culture and politics in our bioregion.

5 to 6 pm -- KFCF is launching "Acting Up Radio", a youth oriented program
produced by local activists Jeremy Hofer and Tony Nocella. The show is a
creative mix of public affairs, music, poetry covering many aspects of
social issues and art in our community.

*** The first Sunday of each month will have a change in evening programming
beginning in August.

5 to 6 pm -- "Earthsongs" the fine program featuring contemporary Native
American music produced by Gregg McVicar will move up in the evening and can
be heard once again by KFCF listeners.

7 to 9 pm -- "Mousikes Notes" a program featuring music of Greek composers
produced by Alex Vavoulis will become a two hour show. It was formerly a
four hour program. The rest of the evening will feature Drama and
Literature programming from KPFA until further notice.

*** A special note to fans of Joe Frank -- KPFA is juggling it's Sunday
evening schedule. As a result, Joe Frank will not be heard on KFCF. The
reason is that KPFA has scheduled that show during our local programming
time. Sad but true. For those who are computer capable, you can listen to
the program by going to the KPFA website www.kpfa.org and follow the
directions to hear the program. The program will by broadcast at 7 pm
during August and September and move to 9 pm in October. Programming on
Sundays is work in progress and KFCF may find a way to broadcast the show
locally, but that has not yet been worked out. We apologize for this
development since the show is very popular in the KFCF listening area.
These programming decisions were beyond our local control. However, we are
trying to find a way to bring Joe back, so bear with us.

As always, questions and comments and suggestions about these or other KFCF
progams are welcome at office@kfcf.org.
