KFCF OBSERVES THE PASSING OF ANTHONY QUINN



            On Sunday, July 1 beginning at 8:00 P.M., KFCF offers  a
memorial tribute to actor Anthony Quinn who passed away on June 4, 2001. The
sound track from the film

Zorba the Greek will be broadcast with accompanying commentary.



            The tribute will be followed by a live recording of a concert
with George Dalaras and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra ( 66 min.). The
concert took place in Tel Aviv on November  20, 1997.



            At approximately 9:45, the program continues with the original
soundtrack from the motion picture, Sweet Country. The film was directed by
Michael Kakoyiannis with the music composed and conducted by Stavros
Xarhakos.



            At 10:20, the program ends with some classical songs sung by the
international star Nana Mouskouri. Music is by Hadzidakis, Theodorakis,
Xarhakos and others.



            The program, Mousikes Notes, is offered on the first Sunday of
each month from 8-11 P.M. It can be found at 88.1 on the FM dial. It can
