KFCF RADIO WILL AIR INTERIM PACIFICA NATIONAL BOARD MEETING LIVE

KFCF-FM, 88.1 MHz in Fresno, is planning on airing the Interim Pacifica
Radio National Board of Directors Meeting/Conference Call LIVE on Saturday,
December 29, 2001 at 9 AM PST. The program will air on KFCF's airwaves, our
internet stream at www.kfcf.org:8000 <www.kfcf.org:8000>  and will be
archived for 24 hours at the KFCF archives, available at
www.kfcf.org/archives <www.kfcf.org/archives>  .  Other groups are planning
on copying the archive files to a more permanent location.

This meeting, is the first Board meeting since the historic agreement
between the various factions in the battle over Pacifica Radio. The
broadcast will be produced by the Democracy Now in Exile team, and will be
available for Pacifica stations and affiliates to monitor or broadcast on
the KFCF/KPFA KU Band satellite channel.

The program is expected to last somewhere between 90 and 120 minutes. The
agenda for the board meeting includes the following items:

 SUGGESTED ITEMS FOR 12/29/01 CONFERENCE CALL MEETING OF INTERIM PACIFICA
NATIONAL BOARD

 1) Election of officers.
 2) Set date and place for full, in-person meeting of the interim board.
 3) Establish committee to address issues related to WBAI.
 4) Democracy Now!
 5) Establish committee to begin process for selected Executive Director.
 6) Resolution to lift the "gag rule."
