LETTERS FROM WASHINGTON: THE FIRST HUNDRED DAYS

Pacifica Radio Coverage of the New Presidency:

With the swearing of Barak Obama as the 44th President and the 111th Session
of the U.S. Congress, Pacifica Radio is pleased to announce the launching of
a new show:

LETTERS FROM WASHINGTON: THE FIRST HUNDRED DAYS

BEGINS: Wednesday January 21, 2008 / Monday - Friday 8:00 AM on KFCF,
Fresno, 88.1 MHz

HOST: Mitch Jeserich, veteran Capitol Hill correspondent and executive
producer of the dynamic KPFA Morning Show.

PRODUCED OUT OF: WPFW-Pacifica in Washington D.C. and KPFA in Berkeley.
Lasting 29 minutes 5 days a week, Letters from Washington will closely cover
the historic transformation of power and the early developments on how
President-elect Barak Obama and the Democratic controlled Congress react to
the most pressing issues of our time.

Always with an analytical and progressive lens, Letters from Washington will
pay close attention to how the government responds to the economic crisis,
global warming, wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, foreign policy decisions
raging from Pakistan to Somalia and Russia to Mexico, health care
expansion, civil rights, and the so called "war on terrorism." Critical
interviews will be conducted with lawmakers and activists on the outside
pushing the inside for better and smarter decisions.

"Letters from Washington gives Pacifica Radio the ability to be at the
center of the story of some of the most important decisions that will effect
the lives of people for years to come," said Mitch Jeserich. "We've had 8
years of the Bush administration, it's time to ask now what?"

There will also be a weekly 1 hour version of Letters from Washington that
will preview the big issues coming up each week in the nation's capitol. The
one-hour version is scheduled to air on Mondays at 10:00 AM.on KFCF, 88.1 FM
