FFCF Job Announcement

 

The Fresno Free College Foundation announces an opening for the position of
Executive Assistant.   Applications are being accepted from November 10,
2006 through November 30, 2006.  Interested individuals should send a cover

Responsibilities:

 

            Office Duties:  the Executive Assistant is responsible for
staffing the office during the Executive Director's absence during regularly
posted business hours and assists with office work as needed, including
answering phones and emails, making bank deposits, and maintaining and
updating the membership supporter and volunteer database.  The EA works with
the KPFA Subscription Department to insure that subscription information is
received and recorded, and is responsible for entering recorded membership
information for those who contribute to FFCF or KFCF directly.  

 

            Volunteer Coordination:  the Executive Assistant is responsible
for assisting Board committees in recruiting volunteers for various
Foundation events, either by contacting volunteers directly or by providing
appropriate information and contact lists to committee members.

 

            Fundraising Projects:  The Executive Assistant works with Board
committees on FFCF and KFCF events and fundraising activities, including
production of general or special mailing lists, organizational assistance
and public relations.

 

            Radio Production:  The Executive Assistant may be called upon to
produce radio announcements and serve as a Board Operator for local
programming as needed.

 

Qualifications:   

 

            Thorough knowledge of the computer as a working tool, including
word processing, spreadsheet, database, graphic arts, communication and
other necessary applications.  Verbally articulate, facility with the
written word in creative and business communication, and well organized and
efficient in working habits.  Skill and experience in organizing and
promoting public events.  

 

Compensation:  

 

This is a 20 hour/week position.   Hourly Wages  $10 to $12 per hour
depending on experience.   Health and dental benefits are included.
