[KFCF Friends] FFCF Board Meeting Agenda

Hi all,
There are a few very important subjects in this months Fresno Free 
College Foundation / KFCF meeting agenda I wanted to make sure you all 
knew about.

There will be a representative from the Vanguard Foundation who has been 
invited to make a presentation on grant funding for KFCF.

A representative from Fresno State will also be making a presentation 
about academic freedom and other Free Speech issues for faculty at the 
university since 9/11 and the Patriot Act. This goes back to the 
founding purpose of the Fresno Free College Foundation.

A permanent General Manager has been hired at KPFA, replacing Jim 
Bennett who served as interim GM since 1999. Jim has been a good friend 
to KFCF, and we have high hopes that will continue with Gus Newport, who 
is replacing him. There will be a report on the new manager and other 
issues that affect KFCF coming from KPFA and Pacifica.

These topics should be of great interest to members, in addition to the 
rest of the agenda. Hope to see you at the meeting. It's at 7 p.m. 
Tuesday (5/13) in Rm 1 of the Uniterian Universalist Church on 
Millbrook, just south of Ashlan Ave. in Fresno.
