The East Timor Democracy Now! special has been rescheduled from Sunday =
Morning to Sunday Evening from 6 to 9 PM on KFCF and KPFA.
Larry Langford's excellent show "Music in a Modern Key" will air on KFCF =
from 9 PM to Midnight instead of the regular 8-11PM time slot. Our =
thanks to Larry for graciously working with us on this last minute =
change.

General Kofi Annan, Nelson Mandela, Bill Clinton and Richard Holbrooke.  =

Democracy Now! will be broadcasting over a high quality satellite phone =

will include portions of speeches of Kofi Annan and Xanana Gusmao.

On Sunday May 19, Pacifica will broadcast Democracy Now!s historic live =
coverage=20
of East Timors independence celebration.  This will be a three hour =
special=20
co-hosted by Amy Goodman and journalist Allan Nairn, who have been =
covering=20
East Timor for more than a decade.

For more than a decade, Pacifica Radio and Democracy Now! have literally =
been=20
the voice of East Timor in the U.S., offering the only sustained, =
critical=20
attention to East Timors freedom struggle and the role of the U.S. =
government=20
in supporting Indonesia's occupation. Pacifica and Democracy Now! =
