KFCF/Fresno Free College Foundation Benefit Family Cultural Festival
May 20, beginning at 2:30 p.m. at the Inter-Mountain Nursery
( 1 mile past Prather, right on Hwy. 168)
Featuring: Music, Dancing, Poetry, Nature Walks, and Healthy Food
Staged performers include: Jemmy Bluestein, Juan Felipe Herrera, and =
Tocanto
A drumming circle anyone with something to keep the beat can join
$10 per person or $20 for an entire family ("family" being loosely =
defined! No one will be turned away for lack of funds.) Tickets =
available at the Inter-Mountain Nursery in Prather and at The Movies in =
Fresno at 1435 N. Van Ness.
This is a benefit for KFCF listener sponsored free speech radio for =
Central California
We need volunteers to help in many ways, and it is important we get a =
good turnout as we are venturing out of Fresno and are having an event =
for all ages - I'm hoping it works out great so we can continue to do =
this type of venue. Inter-Mountain Nursery is located in a beautiful =
setting. The stage area is adjacent to a meandering creek amongst native =
California fauna. Owners Ray and Bonnie are dedicated to indigenous =
grasses and plants and they have worked hard over the years building a =
very unique nursery.=20
Since Vic is out of town until May 14, people can call me for more =
details at 559-485-8755. We're hoping some Native American dancers and =
performers can join us. Bonnie was checking into that and i don't have =
it confirmed yet. The food will be fresh organic veggies provided by =
Willey Farms and myself, Boca burgers, veggie dogs, fruit juices and =
bottled waters and homemade desserts.=20
